Rainbows 5 - 7 year olds
Rainbows have fun! Rainbows take part in
indoor and outdoor activities as part of their programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw.
Their meetings are full of games and
activities which provide challenging opportunities for Rainbows to think for themselves and take
an active part in unit decision-making.
Everything a Rainbow does helps her develop. It's an opportunity to look, learn, laugh
and love. They play games, have parties and make things while developing life skills. Find out about Rainbows.
Brownies 7 - 10 year olds
Brownies do it all! Brownies
take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge them to do their best.
Their meetings are action-packed and full of challenges, games and activities, usually
ones that the Brownies have suggested themselves.
Brownies belong to
a pack and work in small groups called Sixes. This gives each girl a group of ready made friends
to take care of her. Any girl over 7 can become a brownie as long she is able to understand
and wants to make the Brownie guide promise. Learn more about Brownies.
Guides 10 - 14 year olds
Being a Guide
encourages girls to develop by undertaking challenges and pushing the boundaries of
their experience. Guides take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge
them to do their best. Guides choose and plan most
of their own activities, which can include theme evenings, trips and all sorts of
fun! There are often other opportunities for Guides to take part in special activities and events throughout the year.
The unit goes away on holiday, to camp or on overnight sleepovers. Guides are members
of GirlGuiding UK, the largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women
in this country. It has about 600,000 members.
Membership of Guides is open to any girl over ten as long
she is able to understand and willing to make the Guide promise. Read more about Guides.
